Ward Group's Top 50 list includes American Family Life Insurance Company for ninth year

American Family Life Insurance Company (AFLIC) is recognized by Ward Group as one of the nation's top 50 performing life/health insurance companies for the ninth straight year.

Only eight life/health insurers have been named to Ward's list for nine or more consecutive years, and AFLIC is one of them.

Ward is a consulting firm that helps insurance companies optimize performance and improve profitability by providing operational and compensation benchmarking and best-practices.

Ward Group analyzes the financial performance annually of more than 700 life/health insurance companies domiciled in the United States and identifies the top performers. Each Ward’s 50 company has passed all safety and consistency screens and achieved superior performance over the five years analyzed.

Criteria for selecting a top performer include financial stability, revenue growth, capital/surplus, net income and financial returns.
