'PACKERS TICKET TAKEOVER CONTEST' WINNER CHOSEN

Laura Fischer of Appleton will have her photo printed on game tickets for the Packers' Jan. 3 Fan Appreciation Game

Madison, Wis. (May 11, 2015) - The Green Bay Packers again this year offered fans the chance to have their photo printed on more than 80,000 game tickets through the "Packers Ticket Takeover Contest." After more than 9,300 entries and 24,500 votes on packerseverywhere.com, Laura Fischer of Appleton was chosen as the winner.

Fischer's photo of her 3-year-old son, Declan, will be printed on tickets for the Jan. 3, 2016, Fan Appreciation game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The contest, brought to you by American Family Insurance, ran from March 30 through May 1 and asked fans to submit a photo for a chance to have it printed on the team's game tickets.

A panelist of Packers officials chose the top five photos, and those five were posted on packerseverywhere.com to be voted on by fans. Fischer's photo featured her 3-year-old son, Declan, posing as a Packers player and wearing a Packers uniform, including a full-size helmet. The photo had the most votes in the contest and was named the grand prize winner.

Fischer became a Packers fan at a young age, and her son is no different. Declan got hooked on Packers football at age one when he started watching games with his dad, a father-son tradition that ended way too soon.

"One of the reasons I believe he enjoys watching the Packers so much is because it is how he continues to hold a strong connection to his 'Dada,' who passed away in November of 2013," Fischer said. "When Declan sees himself dressed up as a Packers player on 80,000 tickets, it will give him a chance to be closer to his father and truly make his dreams come true."

In addition to having her photo printed on approximately 80,000 tickets for the 2015 season's Fan Appreciation game, Fischer will receive two tickets to the game, including hotel accommodations. This will be the first Packers game Declan attends.

"Having his picture on a Packers ticket and going to a game with him is going to be a family favorite memory to cherish," Fischer said. "I feel very blessed that he has this opportunity."
