Kevin Durant’s Thirty Five Media and American Family Insurance to debut branded content series

Summary

The series, titled Dream to Achieve, features CEOs at the top of their game and inspirational stories about the road to success. Kevin Durant, Rich Kleiman and guests explore what it really takes to achieve dreams.

Thirty Five Media, owned by NBA star Kevin Durant and business partner Rich Kleiman (pictured below), and American Family Insurance (AFI) today launched an online series called Dream to Achieve.

The four-part series, produced by Thirty Five Media, aims to inspire people to pursue their dreams. It showcases an impressive line-up of guests who demonstrate the success that can come with hard work and determination.

The first two episodes in the series will go live on Kevin Durant’s YouTube channel and feature Kimberly Bryant (CEO of Black Girls Code), Idalin Bobe (Founder, TechActivist.Org), Adrian Aoun (CEO and Founder, Forward) and Fritz Lanman (Investor & ClassPass CEO).

Each of the four episodes will feature Durant and Kleiman in conversation with these remarkable individuals about what it takes to achieve goals and dreams in the face of challenges, as well as how an individual’s success can work to help others achieve their dreams.

“I’ve been working with American Family Insurance for several years now, and I’m excited to take our partnership further with this series,” says Kevin Durant. “Everyone we’ve had on as a guest comes from a different background and perspective and I feel like we all learned a lot through these conversations. I really hope fans get as much from these conversations as I have.”

The series theme was inspired by AFI and Thirty Five media’s shared belief in the importance of reaching for the stars and trying to make your dreams a reality. Durant became a brand ambassador for American Family in 2015, aiming this year to go beyond traditional brand endorsement in order to have creative, exciting discussions about how to enable people to keep their dreams alive and achieve goals no matter what. Prior to creating this new branded online series for AFI, Durant also appeared in digital and television advertisements for the brand.

“Kevin Durant has been a valued brand ambassador for American Family Insurance, and working with him, Rich Kleiman and Thirty Five Media on this project has been an amazing opportunity,” says Telisa Yancy, American Family chief marketing officer. “This online series is a complement to our company’s mission of inspiring, protecting and restoring dreams. These stories are great examples of those who dream fearlessly, as well as the inherent hope and optimism that drives our company to do more, be more and serve more.”

Dream to Achieve comes on the heels of Thirty Five Media announcing production deals for the forthcoming original basketball-themed scripted series "SWAGGER," in partnership with Imagine Entertainment and Apple, and the documentary “Q Ball”, forthcoming in conjunction with Fox Sports Films.

Rich Kleiman added, “We’re always looking for new and unique ways to create compelling content that will be of interest not just to KD fans, but to a broader audience. American Family Insurance has been a great partner to Kevin and the work we’re doing with them now is exemplary of how we see brand partnerships transforming in the future, where we can have a truly collaborative experience.”
