American Family's DreamBank hosts free event for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
During the month of May, we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month to recognize the history and achievements of the AAPI community. The American Family DreamBank will host a free, public in-person event in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month.
History of AAPI Heritage Month
In 1977, the U.S. Congress chose the first ten days of May to commemorate the history and contributions of AAPI communities in the U.S. The week's observance became a month, the very month in which the first Japanese immigrants came to the U.S. in 1843. Since then, every May we celebrate the AAPI community, their history and achievements, to inspire others.
Events at DreamBank
The American Family Insurance DreamBank is hosting events during May which will celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. DreamBank is committed to bringing forth conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion while amplifying speakers and content that represent the many dimensions of their community of dreamers.
