Since 2017, American Family Insurance has been actively involved in soccer, first joining forces with Atlanta United as their kit partner ahead of their first season. Since then, the company has seen the impact the sport has on communities and partnered with Soccer in the Streets to assist the non-profit in providing free soccer events to the community.
Soccer in the Streets aims to expand free access to soccer and provide safe spaces for youth players in the Atlanta area to play, while also helping them learn important life skills through the game of soccer. By partnering with MARTA, they’ve been able to provide accessible soccer fields at multiple stations.
“American Family Insurance is proud to support Soccer in the Streets in helping break down barriers and creating youth soccer hubs for the community,” said Sherina Smith, chief marketing officer at American Family Insurance. “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to protecting every dreamer’s access to soccer because when a community can play together, people thrive.”
For fans not able to attend the games in-person, Atlanta United FC will be posting live coverage of the event on their social channels: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
