American Family Insurance partners with Indianapolis Colts to bring “Colts School Uniform Blitz” shopping experience to Indiana Public School

Summary

Event with American Family is part of Colts Community Tuesdays.

The Indianapolis Colts kicked off the regular season and Colts Community Tuesdays by partnering with American Family Insurance for a “Colts School Uniform Blitz” at James Russell Lowell School #51 in Indianapolis.

Colts players took more than 500 Lowell students on a “shopping experience” in the school gym, where kids picked out their own outfits, provided by the Colts and American Family Insurance. Each student received a short-sleeve polo shirt, short-sleeve shirt, a fleece crewneck, pants, socks and a toiletry kit, helping eliminate school clothing as a barrier to students attending and staying in school.

The event also included a book fair, where Lowell students were given an opportunity to pick two Scholastic books, free of charge.

The event took place Tuesday, September 12 at the school, and participants were pre-selected.
