American Family Insurance Group scores big at prestigious 2024 EFFIE Awards: Takes home Silver for The General's "The Sound Studio" campaign and Bronze for "Life's Better" advertising
American Family Insurance’s “Life’s Better” campaign was awarded a Bronze at the Effie Awards in the multicultural category, one of the most prestigious honors given in the advertising and marketing industries. At the awards ceremony on May 23, The General also took home a Silver for their work on “The Sound Studio.”
American Family Insurance Group secured two EFFIEs at the prestigious EFFIE Awards, recognized as the pre-eminent award in the industry as it celebrates all forms of marketing that contribute to
a brand's business success. This marks the second EFFIE for American Family Insurance and the first for The General.
The General took home Silver for their work on "The Sound Studio," while American Family Insurance's "Life's Better" advertising campaign was awarded Bronze in the Multicultural Category. The General Sound Studio, a first-of-its-kind mobile recording studio in a car, is designed to support emerging musicians in their pursuit of a professional music career. In collaboration with Epic Records, an imprint of Sony Music Entertainment, The General hosted nine up-and-coming musicians in Nashville to record original songs in The Sound Studio.
“We’ve seen so much success from ‘The Sound Studio,’ which has allowed a host of amazing artists the opportunity to produce and amplify their art," said Kale Sligh, vice president of marketing at The General. “This Effie award validates all the strategic work our team has done to thoughtfully curate this campaign.”
American Family Insurance's “Life's Better” campaign celebrates the company’s roofline logo as the embodiment of dreams and protection. This bronze award recognizes the effectiveness of the campaign and its ability to improve awareness, consideration and perception among key audiences.
“We are incredibly proud of the creativity and dedication our marketing teams have demonstrated across the board. The General and American Family Insurance have rightfully been recognized as two of the most effective brands, alongside companies around the globe, with this year’s prestigious awards,” said Sherina Smith, chief marketing officer. “Their ingenuity is not just a testament to these team’s individual talents, but also to their collaborative spirit and forward-thinking connection to culture. This recognition underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence in serving both our customers and the communities we serve.”
