American Family Insurance group donates $30,000 for disaster relief

Funds will help those affected by California and Northwest Pacific wildfires, Louisiana hurricanes

The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation is donating $30,000 to help victims of west coast wildfires and Louisiana hurricanes.

The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation is donating $30,000 to help victims of ongoing wildfires on the west coast and hurricanes in Louisiana.

American Family is donating $10,000 for California wildfire relief, equally divided between the American Red Cross and the California Community Foundation’s wildfire relief fund. It’s also assisting wildfire victims in Oregon and Washington, donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross Northwest Fire Response Fund for those states.

In addition, the company is also donating $10,000 for Louisiana hurricane relief, with $5,000 provided to the American Red Cross and the remaining $5,000 going to United Way of Southwest Louisiana.

“Regardless of where they are or what they are facing, we are here for our customers. We want to support them – and the communities where they live and work – as they recover," said Chris Conti, chief claims officer for the American Family group. 

“Between natural disasters and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals and communities nationwide are facing major challenges,” Conti said. “As a company, we want to help where we can.”
