American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation releases its 2018 Annual Report

The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation has released its annual report for 2018.

The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation philosophy is that social impact doesn’t start or end with a check. That’s why we focus on inspiring, protecting and restoring dreams in our communities though volunteerism, financial support, creativity and expertise. And that leads to greater accomplishments, collaboration and a better future for all.

The Foundation made grant-based investments in programs and services designed to advance and support lifelong learning, as well as the removal of barriers to meeting select basic needs. Within its areas of priority, the Foundation maintained an overall emphasis on programs and services that support underrepresented and economically disadvantaged individuals and families.

Some highlights:

• American Family Insurance and the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation invested in programs and services in 47 states through community grants, matching gifts, storm relief efforts, Community of Dreamers and United Way campaign donations.
• $250,000 awarded to 250 organizations through the Community of Dreamers program, from 11,000+ customer donations.
• 2-for 1 matching gifts: American Family donated $2,921,296 to match employee donations to charitable organizations.
