American Family Insurance donates to local nonprofits and continues to aid customers impacted by Southern California wildfires

The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation is donating $30,000 to aid local disaster relief efforts in California.

Since the devastating Southern California wildfires began in early January, American Family Insurance’s claims catastrophe teams have been at the ready to assist our customers impacted by the damaging fires. The catastrophic event has left people without their homes, power, water, food, and other basic utilities. 

From the beginning of these wildfires, our teams have been working to respond. 

Through the work of the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation disaster response program, customers and those affected will receive additional resources. 

Nyra Jordan“The Dreams Foundation disaster response program provides immediate support to communities affected by natural disasters,” said Nyra Jordan, associate vice president of community and social impact at American Family Insurance. “In response to the Southern California wildfires, we have mobilized resources to aid in relief and recovery. Partnering with our teammates addressing customers on the ground, we ensure affected families receive the necessary support to rebuild their lives. We are committed to standing by our communities during these challenging times and helping them emerge stronger.” 

In support of those affected by the wildfires and helping to restore, the Dreams Foundation is donating $30,000 to aid local disaster relief efforts in California. The money will be distributed $10,000 each to Giving Children Hope, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and World Central Kitchen

The Dreams Foundation also makes an annual funding commitment to the national Red Cross each year to deploy where it is needed most.
