American Family Insurance claims teams support customers impacted by severe weather across several states
American Family Insurance responded to severe storms, tornadoes, strong winds and damaging hail that caused significant auto and property damage across several states on Thursday, as well as more that moved through the area over the weekend.
Severe storms, tornadoes, strong winds and damaging hail caused significant auto and property damage across several states, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as more that moved through Missouri on Friday, prompting response from American Family Insurance. This response includes two mobile claims sites in Wisconsin and one mobile claims site in Missouri, where the greatest customer impact occurred.
American Family Insurance is assisting customers who were affected by severe thunderstorms and hail that swept through the affected states on Thursday. Several tornadoes were reported in Wisconsin, including a tornado that swept through Dodge County that damaged businesses and homes, forced road closures and downed power lines.
Powerful storms and tornadoes ripped through several states overnight Friday, including a destructive EF-3 tornado in Missouri, causing devastating destruction.
American Family’s claims team is currently assisting affected customers. Field adjusters specializing in catastrophes are supporting local claims employees to contact customers and organize inspections. The number of claims could rise as the company continues to serve those customers affected by the storms.
