American Family again makes Forbes Best Employers for Diversity list

Company receives recognition for fourth consecutive year, improves in ranking

For the fourth year in a row, American Family is on the Forbes Best Employers for Diversity list.

For the fourth year in a row, American Family Insurance is among the 500 companies on the Forbes Best Employers for Diversity list. For this list, Forbes ranked firms or institutions with 1,000 or more employees based on feedback from employees about numerous facets of diversity at their companies. This year, American Family ranked 220, up from 331 in 2020.

Other factors, such as the number of women on a company’s board of directors, the existence of a designated leader responsible for diversity programs and having communications about diversity and corporate social responsibility also impacted the ranking. The 500 highest-scoring companies received the Best Employers for Diversity award.

“We are committed to building an inclusive culture where every employee feels supported and included, so they can bring their whole selves to work,” said Yasir Kamal, vice president of inclusive excellence, the area that leads the company’s internal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. “We’re proud to again be recognized for this commitment. It’s the right thing for our employees, customers and communities.”
