2023 American Family Insurance Championship announces Maddie & Tae as supporting act for June 9 concert in Madison
Award-winning female country music duo Maddie & Tae will perform at the 2023 American Family Insurance Championship concert June 9 at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wisconsin. Maddie & Tae will join Drake White as an additional supporting act for headliner Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line. Jimmie Allen will no longer be performing.
The concert, presented by Madison Media Partners, is part of the PGA TOUR Champions American Family Insurance Championship.
Maddie & Tae (Madison Font and Taylor Kerr) are singers, songwriters, longtime music collaborators and best friends. They first broke out in 2013 with their platinum-selling hit, “Girl In A Country Song,” which skyrocketed to the top of the charts and established them as only the third female duo in 70 years to top the Country Airplay charts. They’ve earned multiple nominations and awards from the CMA Awards, CMT Music Awards, ACM, Billboard and Radios Disney Music Awards, and are the first and only female duo with multiple No. 1s on the country charts.
They recently headlined the CMT Next Women of Country Tour Presents: All Song No Static Tour. Their newest collection of songs, Through The Madness Vol. 2, has won high praise for having “some of the tightest harmonies on music row,” according to Rolling Stone magazine.
Concert part of AmFam Champ tournament week
The June 9 concert in Madison is part of the week-long American Family Insurance Championship activities beginning June 3, with tournament play June 9-11 at University Ridge Golf Course, featuring player/host Steve Stricker.
Proceeds from the concert and championship are donated to the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation for distribution to American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charities impacting families and children. Since 2016, the championship has raised nearly $15 million, awarded through 700 charitable grants.
