10 million and growing: American Family Insurance achieves milestone for policies in force

Summary

Milestone demonstrates strong growth across the entire American Family enterprise and the organization's commitment to being the most trusted customer-driven insurance company.

American Family Insurance and its operating companies recently reached a historic milestone – surpassing 10 million insurance policies in force.

This achievement not only demonstrates strong growth across the entire American Family enterprise, but also the organization’s ongoing commitment to being the most trusted and valued customer-driven insurance company.

“Hitting the 10 million mark is a tremendous accomplishment for our organization as we continue our growth in the industry,” said Dan Kelly, American Family chief financial officer. “We could not have reached this level without the support of our customers, and we thank them for trusting us to inspire, protect and restore their dreams.”

The 10 million policy mark includes American Family-brand policies sold by American Family agents, as well as policies underwritten and sold through the group’s direct-channel companies, including Permanent General Companies (The General) and Homesite Group. American Family acquired The General in 2013 and Homesite in 2014. Collectively, the companies serve customers across all 50 states.
