American Family Insurance group companies provide funds for humanitarian aid
The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation and companies of American Family Insurance group have made a collective commitment of $50,000 for Ukrainian humanitarian aid.
In response to Russia’s unprovoked military attack and the massive humanitarian crisis the people of Ukraine are experiencing, American Family Insurance group companies are donating to relief organizations providing emergency assistance.
The American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation and companies of American Family Insurance group (CONNECT powered by American Family Insurance, The General, Homesite and Main Street America) have made a collective commitment of $50,000 for Ukrainian humanitarian aid.
The Dreams Foundation is donating $10,000 to UNICEF, CONNECT and The General are providing $10,000 each to the International Committee of the Red Cross, Homesite is donating $10,000 to Save the Children and Main Street America is pledging $10,000 to CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund.
The Dreams Foundation has identified a list of charitable organizations providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and its citizens, particularly children. Any employee or agency owner donations to these charitable organizations will be matched through American Family Insurance group’s matching gift program:
- CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund
- International Committee of the Red Cross
- Nova Ukraine
- Revived Soldiers Ukraine
- Save the Children
- United Help Ukraine
As of March 11, in addition to company donations, American Family Insurance group employee and agency owner donations along with the corporate match have raised more than $45,000 for Ukraine relief efforts, with that total continuing to climb.
“We stand with the people of Ukraine,” said Bill Westrate, American Family Insurance group CEO. “American Family Insurance group and its employees and agency owners support Ukraine not only through words, but action.
