VOTING NOW OPEN FOR AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE "FEARLESS DREAMER" CONTEST

(Madison, Wis.) (February 23, 2015) —The American Family Insurance "Fearless Dreamer" contest, an online voting program to determine the final roster spots for the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, launched today at HighSchoolSlam.com.

Voting for round one is open until February 25 at 1 p.m. ET. The winners will be announced Wednesday, March 18, and will travel to Indianapolis to compete in the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships airing April 5 at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

"The American Family Insurance Fearless Dreamer contest provides a unique experience both for our contestants and our fans," said Drew Russell, vice president of Owned Properties at Intersport. "Two of our Fearless Dreamer winners went on to win the actual event last year in North Texas, and we're hoping to pave the way for this year's Fearless Dreamers to shine on the national stage."

Each week for four weeks, contestants will compete in a bracket-style knockout competition. Half the field will advance to the next round each week and winners are wholly determined by fan voting.

The dates for each round of voting are as follows:

  • Opening Round: February 18-25
  • Quarterfinals: February 25 – March 4
  • Semifinals: March 4-11
  • Finals: March 11-18
