Volunteer registration open for June 2019 American Family Insurance Championship

Volunteer registration for the fourth annual PGA TOUR Champions American Family Insurance Championship is open and the public is invited to sign-up to participate. Those interested can learn about the numerous volunteer opportunities by visiting the volunteer section of the championship website and sign-up at the volunteer page.

The tournament and accompanying events will take place June 17-23, 2019 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin. Steve Stricker, 12-time PGA TOUR winner and three-time PGA TOUR Champions winner, will continue as player/host for the 2019 event.

All proceeds from the championship will be donated to the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation. A portion of those proceeds will be earmarked for the American Family Children’s Hospital, with the remainder donated to other state-wide charities determined after the championship. The 2016 and 2017 events have raised more than $2.7 million with distribution to more than 100 organizations. Recipients of the proceeds from this year’s championship will be announced on Dec. 10.

“We are very grateful for the enthusiastic support we’ve received from the community for the American Family Insurance Championship, including the call for volunteers,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director. “Volunteers are critical to our success, and we have hundreds of volunteer spots to fill. However, due to the popularity of this event, these spots fill quickly, so anyone interested should not delay in signing up.”

Volunteers pay a $75 registration fee, with proceeds donated to the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation. Included with the registration fee, all volunteers will receive a tournament shirt, hat, jacket, commemorative pin, meals during the shift, parking, and tournament tickets.
