Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation now accepting grant applications

Summary

Grant portal will be open Thursday, August 1 through noon on Friday, August 30.

After a fourth successful year for the PGA TOUR Champions American Family Insurance Championship, the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation is now accepting applications from non-profit organizations to be considered for grants from 2019 proceeds. Applications may be submitted via this grant portal.

All non-profit organizations are eligible, with preference given to those that have a strong focus on families and children and/or serve communities in south-central and southeastern Wisconsin.

In its first three years, the event has raised more than $4.7 million, and distributed 185 grants to the American Family Children’s Hospital and other primarily local charitable organizations. This year’s proceeds will be announced at an event in November.

“Supporting organizations who strive to make our communities better for all is what the American Family Insurance Championship is all about,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director and executive director of the Foundation. “We’re proud our tournament proceeds have had such a positive effect on so many deserving local charitable organizations, and we look forward to announcing this year’s total and grant recipients in November.”

Applications accepted through August 30

The deadline for application submissions is 12 p.m. central on Friday, August 30. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation Board throughout September and October, with grant recipients announced in November.

“We want children and families to be able to follow their dreams, and these organizations help make that possible,” said Steve Stricker, American Family Insurance Championship host/player and Foundation chairman. “Nicki and I are so proud to be part of this tournament, knowing its primary goal is helping non-profits successfully address critical issues in our community and improving quality of life for so many.”

Non-profit organizations with questions on the grant process can email the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation. (Please note this grant portal is separate from the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation grant portal.)
