Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation now accepting grant applications for 2022 American Family Insurance Championship proceeds

Summary

Portal is open through September 8.

After a sixth successful year for the American Family Insurance Championship, and a return of all activities after COVID forced a cancellation of the event in 2020 and fewer events and limited attendance in 2021, the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation is now accepting applications from non-profit organizations to be considered for grants from 2022 proceeds. Applications may be submitted via this grant portal.

All nonprofit organizations are eligible, with preference given to those that have a strong focus on families and children and/or serve communities in south-central and southeastern Wisconsin.

Since 2016, the event has raised nearly $12.6 million distributed through more than 560 grants to the American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charitable organizations. This year’s proceeds will be announced in December.

Pokrass“We are grateful for the continued sponsor, fan and volunteer support for the American Family Insurance Championship that has remained strong after two years of COVID-related limitations,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director and executive director of the Foundation. “We look forward to having an in-person celebration in November for the first time since 2019 and sharing the good news about this year’s tournament proceeds and the benefits they’ll bring to organizations doing impactful work in our local communities.”

Applications accepted through September 8

The deadline for application submissions is 4 p.m. central on Thursday, September 8. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation Board through October, with grant recipients announced in November.

“My wife Nicki and I are honored to be part of this tournament since its beginning in 2016, knowing its mainStricker goal has always been helping nonprofits address important issues in our communities and improve quality of life for all,” said Steve Stricker, American Family Insurance Championship host/player and Foundation chairman. “We’re proud to partner with these local organizations that bring the tools and resources families and communities need to thrive and succeed.”

Non-profit organizations with questions on the grant process can email the foundation at StrickerAmFamFoundation@amfam.com. (Please note this grant portal is separate from the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation grant portal.)
