Roster set for 2019 American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships

24 high school standouts to participate in ninth annual event airing April 7 at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS.

The 2019 American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships roster is finalized, Intersport announced today. The ninth annual event will air April 7 at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS, and be taped in front of a packed gym at East Ridge High School in suburban Minneapolis on Friday, April 5, at 1 p.m.

“We’re pleased to support and celebrate the accomplishments of these talented young people,” said Judd Schemmel, American Family Insurance associate vice president, community investment and partnerships. “They’re an inspiration to anyone who has a dream and the determination to work hard to achieve it.”

Intersport, producers of the event, invites 24 of the nation’s elite high school basketball players to compete in the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (eight dunkers, along with eight men’s and eight women’s 3-point shooters). The men’s events include 10 athletes inside the top 100 in the 247Sports Composite Index, while the women’s event boasts seven shooters within the espnW HoopGurlz Top 25 rankings. Also participating in front of their home crowd will be East Ridge High School standouts Courtney Brown Jr. and Chloe Stoehr.

The program showcases the dunking and sharp-shooting talents of the nation’s top high school basketball players during the American Family Insurance Slam Dunk Championship, the Men’s 3-Point Championship, American Family Insurance Women’s 3-Point Championship, and the Team Shootout. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s 3-Point Championships will compete in the Rocket Mortgage Battle of the Champions.
