One Saturday to Dream Fearlessly events held in Minneapolis and St. Louis

Summary

On Sept. 22 in Minneapolis and Sept. 29 in St. Louis, American Family Insurance held One Saturday to Dream Fearlessly events, bringing together local agents, employees and community members to benefit their communities.

Minneapolis - Saturday, Sept. 22
Approximately 400 volunteers, including agents, employees and customers, packed food at Second Harvest Hartland.

Second Harvest Heartland is committted to addressing the issue of hunger and leads through innovation, finding creative solutions to connect the full resources of the local community for their hungry neighbors.

St. Louis - Saturday, Sept. 29
Approximately 100 American Family Insurance agents, employees and local community volunteers took part in a KidSmart pop-up that offered 400 local teachers free school supplies for their classrooms. Volunteers set up and stocked school supply-shopping stations and helped manage shopping stations while teachers browsed for items.

Each year over 90,000 St. Louis area children can’t afford basic school supplies. KidSmart’s mission is to empower children in need to succeed in school by providing free essential tools for learning. This includes a free educational supply store that equips underprivileged students in 160+ St. Louis-area schools and distributes $38,000 in free school supplies to students every day.
