Let The Music Play Grant Program accepting online applications

With support from American Family Insurance, non-profit organizations or school programs that support music education in Milwaukee County, are eligible to receive $2,500 Let The Music Play grants.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. and American Family Insurance announced that the Let The Music Play grant program is now accepting online applications. Non-profit organizations, or school programs that support music education, are eligible to receive these $2,500 Let The Music Play grants.

“We are proud to work with American Family Insurance to support music education, enriching the community and investing in the arts and our young performers. We hope this program gives students an opportunity to discover their talents and experience the joy of performance,” said Don Smiley, President and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.

The Let The Music Play grant program is open to non-profit organizations and schools that serve Milwaukee County in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, through music-based programming for students aged 11 - 18. The program is intended to represent the variety of music-based activities taking place in the greater Milwaukee community and is open to programs ranging from band, orchestra and jazz to musical theater and dance. Recipients must demonstrate the ability to present a finished, 7-10 minute performance.

The selected recipients will also showcase their talents at various events, including Summerfest, during the 2019 festival. Deadline for submitting applications is November 1, 2018.
