John McIntyre

John McIntyre is Managing Director for the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact venture capital fund and leads investments related to climate risk and resilient communities. With more than 25 years of experience as a venture capitalist, entrepreneur and business executive, John brings a passion for working with entrepreneurs to the Institute, whose mission is to close equity gaps in America.
John sits on the boards of directors and is a board observer for several of the social impact startups which are part of the fund.
John previously was vice president of Kauffman Fellows Network, a premier innovation, leadership, and venture capital focused program. He also was Managing Director of Citrix Startup Accelerator, where his team invested in startups and ran accelerator programs in Silicon Valley and globally.
John is a Kauffman Fellow and has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.
