Basketball Hall of Fame Announces American Family Insurance as Title Sponsor of third annual Hoophall West
Matchups set for December 18 and 19 with Marquee Matchups Broadcast by CBS Sports Network
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today their partnership
with American Family Insurance as the title sponsor of Hoophall West, an annual high school basketball
showcase now in its third year.
PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today their partnership
with American Family Insurance as the title sponsor of Hoophall West, an annual high school basketball
showcase now in its third year. Also revealed were the field of teams and game schedule for the 2015
American Family Insurance Hoophall West. Games will be played at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale
on December 18 and 19. The event serves as the west coast version of the original Springfield,
Massachusetts-based Hoophall Classic – an event that annually features many of the top prep teams and
players during the last 15 years.
“Now in its third year, Hoophall West has become one of the best regional showcases in high school
basketball,” said John L. Doleva, President & CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. “We
thank American Family Insurance and our other national and local partners who make it possible to host
these outstanding players in the beautiful Arizona winter climate.”

Last year’s Hoophall West games were highlighted by Cheick Diallo (Kansas), Davon Dillard (Oklahoma
State), Derryck Thornton (Duke), Allonzo Trier (Arizona) and Damon Wilson (Pittsburgh). This year’s
standouts for the Class of 2016 include Mike Bibby, Jr. (Shadow Mountain, AZ), Sam Cunliffe (Rainier
Beach, WA), De’Aaron Fox (Cypress Lakes, TX), T.J. Leaf (Foothills Christian, CA) and Zach Norvell
(Simeon, IL). From the Classes of 2017 and 2018, players to watch include DeAndre Ayton (Hillcrest
Prep, AZ) and Alex Barcello (Corona del Sol, AZ).
This year’s Hoophall West marquee matchups include Cypress Lakes (TX) vs. Foothills Christian (CA)
and Corona del Sol (AZ) vs. St. Anthony (NJ), which will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network on
Friday evening. Two nationally ranked teams will also participate, #4 Advanced Prep International
(TX) and #16 Simeon (IL). GameChanger will serve as the official stats provider of the event with live
updates available online. Additionally, several games from the 2015 American Family Insurance Hoophall
West will be streamed live online by The Cube.
Supporting sponsors of the 2015 American Family Insurance Hoophall West include Nike, Grand Canyon
