(SEE HIGHLIGHT VIDEO BELOW STORY)

After three days of competitive golf, a hole-in-one, long drives by two former Green Bay Packers and 56,000 attending fans, the American Family Insurance Championship wrapped up today with closing ceremonies and a trophy presentation.

Kirk Triplett took the tournament’s top spot by finishing the weekend at -17. After hoisting the Dream Achieved trophy, Triplett addressed spectators on the 18th green.

“I’m thrilled to have won the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison and I can’t wait for next year,” Triplett said.

But Triplett wasn’t the only winner to emerge. Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation for distribution to the American Family Children’s Hospital and other charities.

“At American Family, we believe that the dream is the most important thing you can own,” said American Family President and CEO Jack Salzwedel. “And our dream was to have PGA TOUR golf back in Wisconsin and Madison, and that is a dream achieved.”

Be sure to mark your calendars, June 23-25, 2017, for year two of the American Family Insurance Championship!
