AmFam receives a ’W’ for winning in board gender diversity

Summary

American Family has been recognized by the organization 2020 Women on Boards for having more than 20 percent of its board seats held by women in 2017.

American Family has been recognized by 2020 Women on Boards, an organization that focuses on increasing the percentage of women who serve on company boards to 20 percent or greater by 2020. Receiving the winning “W” recognition, AmFam is one of 1,155 companies that have more than 20 percent of their board seats held by women.

Four of the 13 American Family board members (31 percent) are women.

  • Christine Cumming, retired first vice president of Federal Reserve Bank of New York

  • Londa Dewey, president of the QTI Group

  • AmFam is one of 154 companies that have four or more women on their board.

  • Only 43 companies in 2020's search directory have five or more women on their board.

  • TIAA, a financial services company on the Fortune 100 list, has nine female board members (32 percent of their board).

  • American Waterworks Company Inc. has 63 percent of its board seats held by women.
