American Family Insurance hosts event in Phoenix to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Summary

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, American Family hosted a one-day event last week at the Phoenix Art Museum highlighting personal accounts from Hispanic and Latinx youth and adults. They shared their stories about pursuing dreams and facing challenges.

Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15, recognizes the history, contributions and traditions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans. American Family's one-day event at the Phoenix Art Museum featured local entrepreneurs, entertainers and achievers who epitomize what it means to be Young, Gifted and Dreaming Fearlessly. Other participants included hundreds of community leaders, activists and youth in the Phoenix area.

The event featured networking, entertainment, panel discussions, and keynote addresses by special guest Laurie Hernandez, 2016 Olympic gold medalist gymnast, Season 23 Dancing with the Stars champion and author, and Cesar Pinzon, East Region sales vice president for American Family.

The event highlighted Hispanic and Latinx individuals who are dreaming fearlessly and working to ensure the next generation of leaders can do the same. Through the participants’ stories and shared experiences, the event examined the challenges and barriers that can impede progress within these communities, while providing solutions to overcome them, emphasizing the role of support in pursuing dreams.
