AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE HIGH SCHOOL SLAM DUNK & 3-POINT CHAMPIONSHIPS PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED

24 High School Stand-Outs to Participate in 5th Annual Event Airing April 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS

(Chicago, IL) (March 25, 2015) —Intersport today named 24 outstanding seniors to compete in the 2015 American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. The fifth annual event airs April 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The competition takes place April 1 at Carmel High School in suburban Indianapolis.

"This is a talented group of student-athletes," said Telisa Yancy, vice president of Marketing at American Family Insurance. "It is their hard work, dedication and persistence that have gotten them to this point in their careers. We are excited to provide them this opportunity to celebrate those characteristics."

These outstanding student-athletes join American Family Insurance "Fearless Dreamer" contest winners Kyle Ahrens of Versailles (Ohio) High School (slam dunk), Jaelen Sanford from Reitz High School in Evansville, Ind. (men's 3-point), and Jessica Norris from Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind. Each was voted into the competition last week.

"We can't wait to see who will make the most of this unique experience on the national stage," said Drew Russell, vice president of Owned Properties at Intersport. "As we celebrate the first five years of this event, it is only fitting it takes place in Indiana – the mecca for high school basketball."

Tickets for the event can be purchased for $5 at the Carmel High School athletic office or at the gymnasium the night of the event. Carmel High School is at 520 E Main St. in Carmel, Ind. The main school number is (317) 846-7721.

Alumni of the event include North Carolina's J.P. Tokoto, Texas' Sheldon McClellan, Connecticut's DeAndre Daniels, Chase Fischer of Wake Forest, Oklahoma State's Phil Forte, Butler's Kellen Dunham, UNLV's Dwayne Morgan and Grayson Allen of Duke.

The CBS broadcast team includes Brent Stover, Bob Wentzel as analyst, and Evan Washburn on the sideline.
