American Family Insurance debuts new "Son" 30-second spot
The dynamic of the father-son relationship and pursing a dream is explored in a new 30-second ad from American Family Insurance, released this week.
Like the recent "Road Trip," the new spot and accompanying longer-form video and 15-second spot illustrate how the protection and support American Family Insurance provides allows the freedom to go out and pursue your dream - or champion someone else's.
In addition to examining the unique dynamic of the father-son relationship, the ad also looks at the universal emotional tension that comes with a child venturing far from home to pursue his dream, and a parent's hesitation to let them go.
The eventual support and involvement the father provides to protect and advocate for his son’s dreams is representative of the type of support and protection American Family provides for its customers.
"Son" is new creative that is part of a larger campaign effort around inspiring and championing dreams. This spot will replace Jennifer Hudson’s “Class Reunion" in American Family television advertising.
