American Family continues with recovery efforts for customers hit by storms
Severe weather with hail and strong wind pummels parts of Missouri and Kansas.
Another severe storm, with strong wind and hail, damaged homes, vehicles, businesses and farms in parts of Missouri and Kansas again this week with American Family Insurance claim staff helping customers recover.
Claim adjusters are setting up appointments to inspect property damage. Drive-in sites have been established to inspect damaged vehicles. These inspection sites are by appointment only. Customers with damage should call the 24-hour Customer Care Center, 1-800-692-9326 (MYAMFAM) to report a claim and set up an appointment for inspection.
In Missouri the larger hail appears to have hit the Marshall area east of Kansas City, Mo. generating possibly 2,800 property and auto claims. For this storm, American Family’s efforts are focused on helping customers in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Lafayette, Platte, Ray and Saline counties. The auto drive-in inspection site is located at: Creative Street Customs, 3199 S Odell Street, in Marshall, Mo.
In Kansas American Family’s efforts are focused from Topeka to Kansas City, KS in Jefferson, Shawnee and Wyandotte counties. Projections indicate potentially 1,800 property and auto claims.
