American Family agents donate $348,425 to local charities

American Family Life Insurance Company and its agents partnered to use life insurance awareness month in September and the month of October as a way to benefit their local communities, providing $348,425 in donations.

Agents in American Family’s 19 operating states around the country donated to charitable organizations of their choice, based on the number of life insurance policies they sold this fall. Agents committed to give $25 to charity for every new life policy issued through their offices. Some of the charities benefitting from this program include Carp’s Cancer Crushers, Randy Shaver Foundation and Hope 4 Youth. This is the program’s fourth year.

“Our agents consistently show a commitment to serve the communities where they live and work,” said Todd Fancher, American Family Life Insurance Company president. “The enthusiastic response to this program and the hundreds of thousands donated to organizations in 19 states demonstrate our agents’ generosity and desire to help others in need, and not just during the holiday season, but all year long.”
