American Family agents donate $333,550 to local charities

Summary

American Family agents in 19 states participated in a promotion where they donated to local charities based on the number of life insurance policies sold.

FancherAmerican Family Life Insurance Company and its agents partnered to use life insurance awareness month in September and the month of October as a way to benefit their local communities, providing $$333,550 in donations.

Agents in 19 states around the country donated to charitable organizations of their choice, based on the number of life insurance policies they sold this fall. Agents committed to give $25 to charity for every new life policy issued through their offices. Some of the charities benefitting from this program include Room 4 Hope, Greeley, Colorado, which help women transition from correctional facilities back to society; YMCA of the Fox Cities, Appleton, Wisconsin, to help update their facility; and the American Red Cross, where agents in one district in Utah are combining their dollars to assist with this year’s disasters. This is the program’s fifth year.

“American Family Insurance agents have always demonstrated a strong commitment to support the places where they live and work, not just during the holiday season but all year round,” said Todd Fancher (above), American Family Life Insurance Company president. “We’re proud of the continued positive response to this promotion after five years and our agents’ generosity in helping others and giving back to their communities.”
