More than 870,000 fan votes helped determine final two roster spots in the first ever American Family Insurance “#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote."

CHICAGO (December 2, 2015) – American Family Insurance and Intersport today announced that Scooter Harrington and Boe Wilson have been selected for the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game after 261,069 fan votes helped determine the final round of the American Family Insurance “#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote”. A total of 870,327 votes were cast through the duration of the contest, which began Oct. 20.

“The incredible voting turnout for the ‘#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote’ is a testament to the hard work and commitment of these 32 young men pursuing their dreams,” said Vice President of Marketing for American Family Insurance, Telisa Yancy. “American Family Insurance is pleased to have supported these extraordinary student-athletes and the fans who helped champion their dreams while deciding who ‘gets in the game.’”

The American Family Insurance “#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote” is a five-week digital media contest that began by matching up 32 of the top high school football players in the nation in a bracket-style competition. The athlete with the most votes in each matchup moved on to the next round. After four rounds, Harrington and Wilson have been selected to play in the ninth annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised football competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors.

The final round results are as follows:

East

Scooter Harrington (81.59%) vs. Julian Love (18.41%)

West

Boe Wilson (66.32%) vs. Gavin Robertson (33.68%)

Omnigon’s BracketPro, a fully customizable bracket building software platform, created an interactive bracket that allowed fans to vote for these players by entering the “#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote” web site. One fan could have potentially voted for each matchup once per day. Video highlight reels of each competitor on the web site helped fans determine their choice.

The 32 “Fearless Dreamers” who began the competition were selected by a committee representing the Under Armour All-America Game. Four players were chosen from each of the eight U.S. regions (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Great Plains, Southwest, West and Pacific Northwest). A complete recap of the bracket with matchup details and results can be found on the “#DreamFearlessly Fan Vote” web site.

The American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America High School Football Game will visit Harrington (Greenwich High School – Greenwich, Conn.) and Wilson (Lee’s Summit West High School – Lee’s Summit, Mo.) at their respective high schools on Wednesday, Dec. 2, to formally present them with honorary game jerseys commemorating their selection to the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game.

The 2016 Under Armour All-America Game is slated for Saturday, Jan. 2 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl and will be televised live on ESPN2 at noon ET.
