More than 150 employees and volunteers of American Family Insurance and The Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation rolled up their sleeves to frame two entire Habitat for Humanity homes.

The panels were assembled in a parking lot at American Family Insurance headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

The volunteers constructed all of the interior and exterior walls for two homes, one located on Unity Lane in Fitchburg and the other on Sweet Grass Drive in Sun Prairie.

“We’re deeply grateful for every single volunteer here who shares our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Thank you to American Family Insurance and Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation for representing the heart, soul and muscle behind Habitat’s work!" said Valerie Johnson, Habitat for Humanity of Dane County CEO.

Both the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation and the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation awarded grants to Habitat for the panel build.

Since 1987 Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has been building in partnership with low to moderate income families in 18 different communities throughout Dane County.
