American Family Life Insurance Company and its agents partnered to use life insurance awareness month in September and the month of October as a way to benefit their local communities, providing $350,000 in donations.

Agents in American Family’s 19 operating states around the country donated to charitable organizations of their choice, based on the number of life insurance policies they sold this fall. Agents committed to give $25 to charity for every new life policy issued through their offices. Some of the charities benefitting from this program include the Lions Club, Special Olympics and local food banks. This is the program’s third year.

“These donations demonstrate the generosity of our agents,” said Todd Fancher, American Family Life Insurance Company president. “The money provided to these local organizations will assist the communities right where our agents and customers live, and at an ideal time of year to focus on the needs of others.”
